Alert: New CAR JACKING twist

JohnThis alert has absolutely nothing to do with network marketing, Internet technology or anything related. But as a husband, a father of four daughters, the son of an elderly mother, big brother of a younger sister, and grandpa of several granddaughters, I prefer to encourage caution and preventative measures when it comes to personal safety, especially for women.

This message just arrived, claiming to be from New South Wales police and the National Roads and Motoring Association (Australia). It highlights a new twist in car jacking that's apparently on the increase, at least in Sydney.

Look... I don't know how accurate this is or not. But it's unlikely to be a hoax, because it encourages a simple, common sense response to a potentially dangerous situation that's entirely plausible, and I prefer to err on the side of caution. So here it is, regardless...

WARNING from NRMA and Police

You walk across the car park, unlock your car and get inside.

You lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into REVERSE, then you look into the rear-view mirror to back out of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper stuck to the middle of the rear window.

So you shift the gears back into PARK, unlock your doors and jump out of your car to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view.

When you reach the back of your car, the car-jackers appear out of nowhere, jump into your car and take off.

Your engine was running, you left your purse in the car and they practically mow you down as they speed off in your car.

BE AWARE OF THIS NEW TACTIC, NOW BEING USED IN SYDNEY, AND WHICH COULD SPREAD ACROSS AUSTRALIA AND NEW ZEALAND

Just drive away and remove the paper stuck to your window later, and be thankful that you read this email.

A purse contains all identification, and you certainly do NOT want someone getting your home address. Especially when they already HAVE your HOUSE KEYS!

I hope this helps to save anyone on this list from becoming a victim!

Sincere regards,
